I dont follow Nascar that closely, but I used to about 8-10 years ago, back when there was some parity, and some 30/1 or 40/1 longshots would win races alot more than they do nowadays..

My question is Nascar starting to lose some popularity because its alot more predictable nowadays?

No I dont think that I just think people arent willing to pay this much for a ticket. 125.00 plus concession. Could spend 1000.00 for a race weekend easily. Economy is rough.

as far as the odds go, there are many more people that can win a race now if you ask me so its not as big of a surprise thus the lower odds, you dont see dale earnhardt, rusty wallace and jeff gordon going out and winning every race which would have created those long odds on the others you were refering to, the talent pool is a lot deeper.
